Jake Vanderwerf
Jake is new to the laser tattoo removal industry and is excited to bring his creativity and technological skills to help support the team.
He designed our website and branding materials, and his eye for detail and persistent perfectionism helps keep the background tasks of the business running smoothly, like the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and administrative tasks.
As a mixed media artist, working as Rooted Romantic, he creates intricate sculptures and jewellery mostly out of copper wire. He works with his clients to bring their ideas and visions to life: from bulk orders to custom sculptures. Over the COVID times he started experimenting with kinetic sculptures – after many hours of trial and error he finished the Kinetic Humpback Whale sculpture. His favourites include his most recent Big Foot sculpture, the Great Gray Owl, and Sue’s Dragon.
He grew to love plants when he worked on various farms on Vancouver Island from 2013-2018. Learning about permaculture and sustainable farming practices helped him fall in love with all things plants – from identification to their uses for humans and their role in the natural world.
