We work with your tattoo artist to target specific pigments or sections of your old tattoo to bring your cover up tattoo to life sooner – with fewer treatments standing in the way of your fresh ink.

Our Team
Legacy Tattoo Removal was founded in the fall of 2023 by Madi Rawson, Heidi Freschauf, and Jake Vanderwerf in Edmonton, Alberta, with the goal of making the process transparent, nonjudgmental, and accessible.
Founding partner and laser technician Madi Rawson has been an active laser technician since 2016, learning under Edmonton laser tattoo removal legend Ben Alway, who passed in March of 2023. Through a relationship with Lorenzo Kunze Jr and an ongoing mentorship with Ben through Second Skin Edmonton, Madi has learned from the best.
We set out to carry on Ben’s legacy: to push the boundaries of what is possible and to give back to Edmonton’s tattoo community.
